You may be interested in reading the transcript of an important ruling from a criminal case from the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. The case was brought against an in-house lawyer for GlaxoSmithKline by the name of Lauren Stevens and involved so-called “off label marketing” of the drug Wellbutrin.  An earlier ruling from a District of Massachusetts Magistrate Judge relating to discovery of otherwise privileged materials served as a springboard for the prosecution.  This is an important ruling for all lawyers, and particularly in-house lawyers, who (like us) represent institutional clients.  Click to link to the transcript.
