Biography
Tony Sbarra is a Senior Associate in the Boston office of Campbell Campbell Edwards, & Conroy, a nationally recognized law firm dedicated to the litigation of complex, high stakes
cases throughout the United States. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School, where he was on the Dean's List and a regional semifinalist on the National Mock Trial Team.
Mr. Sbarra is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He is the Secretary and a Director of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association and a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association's Civil Litigation Section and Trial Practice & Procedure/Court Rules Practice Group as well as the Defense Research Institute.
Prior to joining Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy, Mr. Sbarra was a senior associate at Lynch & Lynch P.C., where he focused his practice on the preparation and trial of cases involving personal injury and wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, construction, automobile liability, intellectual property and insurance related matters. He tried to verdict more than 30 Superior Court and 60 District Court actions and arbitrated or mediated several hundred cases.
Since joining Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy, he has been defending automobile and other product manufacturers in products liability cases. He has also been defending cases involving toxic torts, including those involving asbestos. Mr Sbarra has served as lead examining counsel in multiple lay and expert depositions throughout the country and has developed an expertise in the cross-examination of epidemiologists, industrial hygienists, pathologists and practitioners of occupational medicine, among others.
Mr. Sbarra has served on the faculty for numerous continuing legal education programs sponsored by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), Massachusetts Bar Association, and Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association and for the insurance industry. He is a volunteer judge for the Massachusetts Bar Association High School and Suffolk Law School Mock Trial Tournaments and serves as a volunteer conciliator in the Brockton, Stoughton and Quincy District Courts.
He and his wife and children have been affiliated with the Chernobyl Children's Project, having served as a host family for five years.
