Biography
Christopher A. Callanan, Shareholder in the Boston office of Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy, focuses his litigation practice on the representation of plaintiffs and defendants
in cases involving catastrophic personal injury and death, employment matters and real estate disputes. He represented one of three employees in a wrongful death case reported by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as 2005's eighth largest settlement. He has also represented Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Harris Corporation, The Home Depot USA, Inc., American Honda Motor Company, Inc., Marriott International, Inc., American Suzuki Motor Corporation and Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. Mr. Callanan co-authored the prevailing appellate brief in a First Amendment case listed by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of the Most Important Opinions of 2002. He also has experience in Sports Law, having represented Olympic athletes, national governing bodies, sports agents and sponsors of athletes and
sporting events.
Mr. Callanan is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Boston College Law School. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and Maine, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
He is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, American Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and Sports Lawyers Association.
