Biography

Since 2003, Scott Toomey has been a Shareholder in the Pennsylvania office of Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy.

Over his 17 years of practicing law, Mr. Toomey has focused on designing and executing successful defense strategies for self-insureds and on behalf of companies insured by excess insurers. He has particular experience in defending automobile litigation and supervises for the firm the multi-state product liability portfolio for a major automobile manufacturer. He also represents diverse companies, including utilities and manufacturers of products from chemicals and coatings to flexible piping and helmets. He has tried more than a dozen cases to verdict in state and federal courts for clients such as Ford Motor Company and Hyundai Motor America.

Mr. Toomey grew up in the Philadelphia area and graduated cum laude from Middlebury College in 1986 while majoring in Russian. In 1992, he earned his law degree from Boston College Law School, where he served as the Research Editor for the UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE REPORTER DIGEST. He was licensed to practice law in 1992 and has been admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has been admitted to practice pro hac vice in numerous other states. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Defense Research Institute and Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel.
