Biography
Russell X. Pollock is a shareholder in the Boston office of the trial law firm of Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy. He practices civil litigation, handling products liability and toxic tort matters as well as medical and professional liability claims. He has defended numerous products from automobiles to waste treatment devices to product packaging. He is a graduate
of the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. He received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, where he served on the Executive Board of The Moot Court Honor Society.
Following law school, Mr. Pollock began practicing with Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer in New York, New York. He has written numerous articles, including Proving Enhanced Injuries in Product Liability Litigation, Considerations When Deciding Whether to Depose the Plaintiff's Security Expert, A Practical Guide to Taking Depositions, Considerations in Contributing Indemnity and The Loss of a Chance Doctrine in Massachusetts Medical Malpractice Cases. He frequently serves on the faculty for continuing legal education workshops and seminars.
Mr. Pollock is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island and the federal courts of Vermont and Colorado.
Mr. Pollock is an Associate Member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates ("ABOTA"). He is a member of the American Bar Association, chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of its Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section ("TIPS") and past chair of the Products, General Liability and Consumer Law Committee of TIPS. He was co-chair of the National Program on "Emerging Issues in Motor Vehicle Product Liability Litigation" presented by TIPS. He is also a past vice chair of TIPS" Self Insurers and Risk Managers Committee. Mr. Pollock is a life fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and Massachusetts Defense Lawyers’ Association.
