Biography
William J. Conroy is a name shareholder of Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy, a nationally recognized firm of trial lawyers who handle complex, high stakes cases throughout the United States. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and The Top Lawyers in Philadelphia. Best Lawyers, the oldest peer-review publication in the legal profession, has named him the "Philadelphia Area Best Lawyers Product Liability Litigator of the Year" for 2010. In addition the CHAMBERS USA 2010 guide features Mr. Conroy as one of its "Leaders in their Field" nationwide for Products Liability & Mass Torts.
Mr. Conroy graduated from Lycoming College with a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in 1978. He then earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Temple University School of Law (Evening Division) in 1982.
Mr. Conroy is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars. He is also admitted to practice in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey federal courts, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel; Pennsylvania Defense Institute; Product Liability Advisory Council; International Association of Defense Counsel; Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel; and Defense Research Institute. In 2007 he served on the faculty of the IADC's 35th Annual Trial Academy at Stanford Law School.
Mr. Conroy currently focuses his practice on the litigation of catastrophic injury cases. He has represented Ford Motor Company for more than 25 years in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has served as national trial counsel to Ford Motor Company in light truck rollover litigation since 1994, trying cases throughout the United States. He also represents Precision Aerospace Corporation, Honda North America, Inc., Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., Crown Equipment Corporation, the PECO unit of Exelon Corporation, Georgia-Pacific Corporation, the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, ACE-INA and Chartis Inc.
